Ilium Ear Drops 20ml

Ilium ear drops are very effective for the treatment of ear mites and also in the treatment of the common ear infections due to minor bacterial and fungal infections in dogs and cats

Actions

This product combines the antifungal, antimicrobial, anticoccidial, and antiparasitic properties of dichlorophen, pyrethrins, and piperonyl butoxide. The synergistic effect of pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide makes it particularly effective for treating ear mite infestations (Otodectes cynotis). Lignocaine hydrochloride provides a local anaesthetic effect to help soothe discomfort.

Indications
Effective for treating ear mites, as well as bacterial and fungal infections in dogs and cats.

Directions for Use
Instill 4–8 drops into the ear twice daily for 4–7 days or as directed by your veterinarian.

• Dichlorophen: 5mg/mL
• Lignocaine HCl: 5mg/mL
• Piperonyl Butoxide: 5mg/mL
• Pyrethrins: 500µg/mL

Vet Shed nurse tip: Cleaning a cat's ears before using Ilium Ear Drops can be challenging, but it's easier with dogs. Proper cleaning ensures the ear drops reach deep into the ear canal rather than sitting on top of debris. To clean your pet's ears, use a fast-drying ear cleaner like Epi-Otic. Once the ear is clean and dry, apply the Ilium Ear Drops. For dogs, try to keep their head still for a moment after application to prevent them from shaking the drops out immediately.
