Acme Silent dog whistles are of the highest quality and are used world wide. Acme are the inventors of the silent dog whistle and they have been making whistles for over 130 years.
Silent dog whistles are a great tool to use for training your dog. However dogs do need to be trained to the whistle. Simply by blowing the whistle you can not expect to get the response you desire from the dog unless you have trained it to know what that response is to be.
Eg if it is to come to you then you need to train the dog that when you blow the whistle he is to come back to you. Like any method of training this will not happen overnight.
Eg if you are trying to use the whistle to stop the dog barking when it hears it, the dog has to know that that is what he is supposed to do when he hears the whistle, otherwise you will just be getting his attention when you blow the whistle however he does not know that it means to be quiet unless someone has trained him to do that.
What ever you are wanting to use the whistle for and there are so many reasons from recall, barking, staying, stopping, doing tricks, the list is endless- but what ever it is the dog must be trained to know what to do when he hears it, you can not expect a result from a dog just because he hears a whistle.

Quality whistle.
29 June 2014This is a quality product and well worth the price. My dogs often disappear when walking them in the bush. This whistle brings them back, regardless of the distance.
