BlackDog Training Halter
The most comfortable head halter for dogs
This Classic style halter (classic because it connects to the lead under the dog's jaw) has been the Halter of choice for many trainers.. The dynamic design allows the Halter to move as the dog moves, leaving the Nose Bridge strap to sit comfortably in the same position, this means it doesn't tend to ride up close to the dog's eyes and the dog is more content while wearing the Halter.
FITTING IS SIMPLE
*Adjust the Neck Strap to fit the individual dog (a tight, snug fit high on the neck is best). Take the Halter off again.
*Slide the Nose Strap over the dog's muzzle (reward the dog with a little treat to ease any concerns).
*Buckle the Neck Strap.
*Pull down on the Lead Ring (this adjusts the Training Halter to fit the dog's face).
*Slide the Cord Lock into position, about 1cm below the small D-ring at the dog's throat.
*Attach a lead, and your dog is ready to go.
Reward your dog, when introducing it to the Halter and throughout the first week, particularly when you first fit the Halter and as your dog works well on lead.

It's made a huge difference and our walks are really enjoyable again. It's also helped us to focus on other areas of training, instead of just being dragged along all the time. LOVE it!!!
By: Erin on 21 November 2017We have a 50kg rescue German Shepherd who gets incredibly over-excited and pulls like anything once we leave the gate. Was honestly sceptical as we've purchased so many leads/halters to stop his pulling as we continue to train him that did absolutely nothing. This halter has been the very thing we needed! He's not pulling anywhere near as much which now makes walks enjoyable for us all. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Black dog keeps me whole
By: Naomi on 9 June 2014This is the 2nd black dog halter I've bought. It's great for walking my rather rambunctious GSP. Instead of having my arm ripped out its socket, they walk on their lead. It's still not perfect but it is now a pleasure to walk the dog.

Training halter
By: Jacqui on 6 June 2014This halter is brilliant as it doesn't cut across the dog's mouth and it fits really snugly around the neck and nose yet gives movement for the lead underneath so that the dog can move around a fair bit so long as they are where you want them. It doesn't roll round the side or move up into their eyes as much as other haltis I have used!
