Mistakes Happen

By: Susie on 30 January 2023
Hi, I ordered 5 packets of Blackhawk Chicken Jerky and received 5 packets of Kangaroo Jerky, The Vets Shed were quite happy to rectify the mistake, they sent the Chicken Jerky and a postage paid sticker for me to return the kangaroo jerky. My very fussy Groodle will only eat the Chicken. Dry treats may be convenient for us but they are difficult for a dog to swallow when they are on the go working or training. Blackhawk have solved the problem when they put out these treats and they must be tasty because they are the only treats in four years that my Assistance Dog hasn’t got sick of very quickly. She has been happily taking these as rewards for months now. They are moist enough not to get stuck in the dogs throat but not moist enough to make a mess off your hands and treat pouch. Also they don’t seem to go off if they are out of the fridge for a long training session or even a work day.. I think that is a Win, Win, Win. Well done Blackhawk! And well done The Vets Shed in keeping the price reasonable. Thank you

Great

I have the fussiest eater known to mankind. Training is not easy when she refuses my rewards or treats. However she has been eating these for a few months now which is a record for her. Just any old dry treat won’t do.. Having said that I find that the bites and puppy bites to be drier than the straps. The moisture content does seem to vary from packet to packet. I would like to see a nutritional analysis so I knew what I was feeding my dog. Is the moisture variation due to fat or water content?
