• Suitable for pups, kittens, rabbits, foals, lambs, calves, piglets, kids, creas, fauns, furred and furless native animals.

Directions :
 

• Use the 20mL Di-Vetelact® scoop supplied = 9 grams powder,
• Add 1 scoop to 60mL of warm water.
• For 1 Litre : add 15 scoops,135g to 900mL.

Ensure water has been pre-boiled and is cooled to approximately 40ºC. Mix together well to form a smooth milk consistency. Always shake or stir vigorously before feeding to evenly distribute nutrients.

Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve within 24 hours.

Bottle feeding: Any milk remaining in the bottle should be discarded after the feed.
Bowl feeding: Any milk remaining in the bowl should be discarded after 2 hours. Ensure bowl is cleaned well.

The suggested milk feeds per day for the first the first week of life

• Foals :  2 - 3 hourly
• Lambs, Calves and Kids:  6-8 hourly
• Pups, Kittens, Fawns: 4 - 6 hourly
• Piglest: 6 hourly (100ml each feed) 
• Furred Native animals: 4 hourly
• Furless Native Animals: 2 - 3 hourly

The below is a feeding guide for how much Divetelact formual to give each feed however it should only be used as a guide ans usually the animal will take as much as it needs.  If the animal you are feeding develops loose stools reduct to three quarter strength for several days then gradually increase back to normal dilution

Vet Shed nurse tip:  Always check the temperature of the bottled Divetelact formula before feeding baby animals. If you have a slow drinker, the formula may cool down during the feeding. To keep it at the right temperature, it’s helpful to have a small jug of warm water on hand. You can rest the bottle in the water to gently warm it back up while you're in the middle of feeding. Before offering it to your baby animal, test the temperature on the inside of your wrist, just like you would with a baby bottle. The divetelact formula should feel comfortably warm, around body temperature. Keep in mind that each animal may have its own preference for the ideal temperature, so be prepared for some variability in what they find comfortable.
