Pack Size:
Each poultice dressing is 44g, measuring 20cm x 40cm, and features a multi-layered design. It is available in single bandages or in display boxes containing 10 bandages.

Directions for Use:

• Hot Poultice Dressing:

  1. Cut the dressing to the desired size.
  2. Place the dressing in a shallow tray with boiled water that has cooled to 38°C (warm, but not too hot).
  3. Once saturated, remove the dressing and gently squeeze out any excess water.
  4. Place the poultice on the affected area with the plastic backing facing away from the skin.
  5. Secure the dressing in place using a stretch conforming elastic adhesive or cohesive bandage.
  6. For open wounds, make sure to take normal antiseptic precautions.

• Cold Poultice Dressing:

  1. After soaking the dressing in boiled water, allow it to cool thoroughly.
  2. Apply the cooled dressing to the affected area. Alternatively, you can chill the dressing in the refrigerator inside its outer plastic bag for extra cooling.

• Dry Dressing/Pressure Padding:

  1. Simply apply the dressing directly to the affected area.
  2. Secure it in place with a stretch conforming elastic or adhesive bandage.

Precautions:

• Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.
• Wear elbow-length rubber gloves during application and wash hands thoroughly after use.
• Wash gloves after each use.
• Equitex should not be used alongside any other medical treatments unless advised by a veterinarian.
• Consult your vet before using Equitex on infected wounds.
• Ensure the bandage is not applied too tightly, and make sure the poultice is not too hot.
• Apply the dressing with the plastic backing facing away from the skin.
• Change the dressing at least every 12 hours for optimal results.
