Excellent product for immunocompromised cat with c
By: Kalen on 14 April 2022My cat has had Colitis for approximately the last 3 years. in that time we have tried everything we could think of - Probiotics and many different foods. We even tried an elimination diet to see if she had an underlying fish allergy. We are unable to treat her colitis with steroids as she is immunocompromised. When i finally found the Hills prescription Gastrointestinal Biome dry food i was a skeptical as could be. But within 12 hours she had her first fully formed stool in years! I was so surprised i thought it was from my other cat (a Siamese with usually very firm stools). imagine my surprise when i realised it was from my cat with colitis! Now that Hills are struggling to export their foods we have had to switch to the wet version of this food. Still very good but i have to limit the amount she eats as it is not as good as the dry food at producing a firm stool.
