Ipakitine - a unique formulation that your pet will benefit from
This should be included to your pets diet under the direction of a Veterinarian.

• Palatable -an alternative for cats / dogs that refuse to eat special diets. Older cats in particular can be very reluctant to
change diets.
• Easy to use - mix Ipakitine with food or sprinkle onto on foodtop
• Cost effective
• Flexible and compatible -Ipakitine can be used on its own or in combination with special diets and other kidney insufficiency management
options

The ingredients in Ipakitine act as phosphate binding agents and lower the absorption of phosphates from the intestines. Thus, in respect of
phosphate restriction they can mimic or enhance the effects of a phosphate restricted food. There is also a reduction in the absorption of some uraemic toxins that can affect normal kidney function.

Giving Ipakitine to your pet
Your veterinary surgeon will advise you on the amount that your cat or dog will need, here are the levels that are usually recommended:
1g / 5kg (1 level scoop) body weight twice a day.

Administration table
Slightly moisten the food if your pet eats a dry diet, to get the powder to stick to it.

It is helping my senior cat

By: Heather on 21 July 2022
In April 2020, my now 15 year old cat was diagnosed with stage 2 renal failure. She didn't like the wet renal food not matter how much I tried. My vet suggested that I could feed her what she liked to eat by adding this powder. Candy is thin, so getting her to eat is my priority. Over 2 years later and so far her blood tests are still showing that is stable at stage 2. I believe this powder has really helped. I would recommend trying it if you have a pet with renal disease.

Ipakitine & The Vet Shed.

By: Estelle on 4 June 2018
Ipakitine was recommended to me by the vet as my cat has kidney disease. My cat has taken to it very well, I don't think he knows it's in the food, & has no adverse effects to it. The Vet Shed is very reasonably priced & delivery is fast.

Ipakatine Powder

By: Elaine Pearce on 21 February 2016
I have two dogs in chronic renal failure. One, Senna was diagnosed approx 3 years ago when she was 11 and the other, Brock 4 years ago when he was 13. They have been on ipakatine since being diagnosed and are both doing well. Years ago I had another dog in CRF who only lasted 3 1/2 months between diagnosis and having to be euthanised. She was not given Ipakatine so I attribute Senna and Brocks longer life with the disease to the ipakatine.
