Pestene Powder – Comprehensive Treatment for Mites, Lice, and Fleas
Composition:
- Sulfur: 50 g/kg
- Rotenone: 10 g/kg
Indications: Pestene Powder is formulated for the effective treatment of lice, mites, and fleas. It is suitable for use on a variety of animals including poultry, dogs, cats, horses, calves, and goats.ed.
Directions for Use:
- Application Frequency: Apply Pestene Powder weekly to animals, their bedding, and the surrounding environment.
- Method of Application: Sprinkle the powder liberally through the coat or feathers of the animal and work it into the skin to ensure thorough coverage.
Presentation:
- Available in a 500 g powder container.

Precautions and Safety Directions:
- Skin Irritation: Prolonged contact with the powder may cause skin irritation. In case of contact, wash the affected skin thoroughly with soap and water. Ensure that any contaminated clothing is washed promptly.
- First Aid:
- In Case of Poisoning: Contact a doctor or the Poisons Information Centre immediately. In Australia, call 131 126.
- If Swallowed: Administer 2 glasses of water and seek medical attention.
- If Eye Contact Occurs: Rinse the eyes with water for at least 15 minutes while holding them open. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
- If Inhaled: Move to fresh air and consult a medical professional if symptoms develop.

Withholding Periods:
- Meat: Do not use on animals intended for meat consumption for 1 day before slaughter.
- Poultry: 1 day.
- Eggs: No withholding period required

By: Jude J. on 23 June 2024I have used this powder for many things over the years and it always does the job perfectly and I can highly recommend it. I do advise keeping this inside when not using because the cardboard container absorbs moisture which ruins the contents.
