Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline S/O Urinary Moderate Calorie Dry Cat Food

Feed for 5-12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. 

• A complete dietetic feed for the nutritional management of cats with lower urinary tract disease
• Formulated to dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence through the urine acidifying properties and precise levels of magnesium, calcium and phosphorus
• The low RSS helps to decrease the concentration of ions which can contribute to the formation of crystals 
• The diet promotes urine dilution and an optimal urinary pH level to decrease the chance of urinary stones 
• S/O Index - creates a urinary environment which is unlikely to form struvite and calcium oxalate uroliths 
• Moderate calorie content promotes a healthy body composition 

Indications – recommended for cats with a tendency to be overweight in cases of:

• Struvite uroliths: dissolution and management of recurrence 
• Calcium oxalate uroliths: management of recurrence 

Contraindications – not recommended in cases of:

• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Heart disease (when sodium restriction is sought)
• Concurrent use of urine-acidifying drugs
• Growth, gestation, lactation
• Hypertension
