Univet Feline Bead Litter - 200g

A urine sample can provide your vet with important information about your cat's internal health. This is why you may be asked to collect a sample yourself at home.

We understand collecting a urine sample from a cat can be a real pain however Catrine Pearl Litter makes it a whole lot easier.

Univet Feline Bead Litter are tiny plastic beads you place in your cat's clean litter tray in place of normal litter. It does not absorb any liquid so the urine remains in the tray and can be syringed into a sample container ready to take to your vet.

Instructions for use:

Empty the litter tray, clean it thoroughly and rinse it with planty of clean, lukewarm water. Wipe dry with a clean cloth and pour Catrine Pearl Litter into it. (Use the whole package)

When your cat has urinated into the tray, collect the sample as follows:

    Tilt the tray and point the tray to allow tha urine to pool in a corner.
    Using the supplied pipette, suck up as much of the liquid as possible
    Transfer the urine collected via the pipette into the supplied glass sample tube by gently squeezing the pipette.
    Label the tube with your cat's name and date and take to your vet as soon as possible.

Note:

The urine sample must be collected as quickly as possible after urinating. Once collected it should be taken to your vet promptly as urine samples can deteriorate very quickly which can lead to erroneous results.

If unable to get the sample to your vet within an hour or so, please store in the fridge until you can. Storage beyond 24 hours however is not advisable.

Univet Feline Bead Litter can be reused - So don't throw it out!

After use, pour the Univet Feline Bead Litter into a fine mesh sieve and wash thoroughly under running hot water.

Allow to dry completely in sieve and when dry place into a zip lock plastic bag along with the cleaned pipette and collection tube to be used again if needed.
